Garden Cottage

This wonderfully rustic, and fully refurbished cottage apartment, is everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Lake District. It is found up nine stone steps and through a section of gardens to your private entrance door. Enter into the cosy lounge / dining room with an open fire for cooler evenings. The bedroom is beautifully furnished with soft textures and a comfy bed to ensure a relaxing and peaceful stay. The bathroom is en-suite, with a bath and shower, ideal for long soaks after a hard day on the fells. The kitchen is well equipped with ample storage, electric cooker and a small fridge/freezer. Outside the gardens are beautiful with views over the famous stepping stones and complete with garden furniture to enjoy al-fresco living. Dogs accepted by special arrangement to cover deep cleaning at the end of your stay.

 This is a beautiful, peaceful, quaint cottage in the perfect location to explore the Lake district. It is adequately equipped for two people and very comfortable with superb views across the fields and the river. THere is a good pub in the village of Rydal which serves good homely pub food. (it is advisable to book). The owner was very helpful and made us feel comfortable on arrival. We would certainly return to Garden Cottage.

 A fantastic base for exploring the Lake District. Close enough for great bars and restaurants and secluded enough to feel like you're miles from anywhere. Highly recommended.

 This is our eighth visit to the Lake District and this by far is the best place we have stayed. The cottage we stayed in was Garden Cottage and it was beautiful and the setting is stunning. It's the perfect location for visiting The Lakes. We brought our dog Maisey and she had the best time. Margaret and Kevin were so kind, helpful and welcoming, we didn't want to go home! We both and Maisey the dog can't wait to come back. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Had a lovely week in Garden Cottage. Margaret and Kevin are absolutely fabulous owners, this was our second time staying at Stepping Stones and they made us feel so welcome again. Nothing is too much trouble for them and Paddy their golden retriever is lovely. Cottage was lovely and cosy and very warm, everything we needed was provided. Would definitely recommend this to everybody.

 Stepping Stones is a fantastic location with friendly and welcoming owners. There are plenty of walks available from the front door, and after a day out on the hills, Garden cottage is a very warm and comfortable place to return to.
