Riverbank Cottage (Now Pet Friendly)
The stunning views from this beautiful 4 Star Gold cottage apartment will immediately help you relax into your Lakeland holiday. This romantic one bedroom accommodation overlooks the famous stepping stones across the River Rothay. Comfort and luxury are paramount here, with a lovely contemporary kitchen set against a Lakeland stone wall, incorporating a dishwasher washer/dryer and fridge/ freezer. The cosy lounge has tasteful soft furnishings together with an open fire to warm you on cooler evenings. After a comfortable nights sleep wake up again to the stunning views and if its early enough you might even catch a glimpse of deer crossing the river. Dogs accepted by special arrangement to cover deep cleaning at the end of your stay.

Stepping Stones is built into the hillside but Riverbank is on the ground floor with one step up onto the entrance path, a doorstep and one step between the kitchen and sitting room. This small number of steps makes it popular with some of our more mature and/or less mobile guests.

The perfect location for walks from the door or into Ambleside or Grasmere. Riverbank is very quiet, comfortable and well equipped accommodation making this a very enjoyable and relaxed week.

Stayed May 5th for seven nights in Riverbank Cottage. Firstly the kitchen, excellent, well equipped and a very nice size. Snug living room and took advantage of the logs fire. The bed was perhaps the most comfy ever and nice to have a selection of pillows. Spent a long weekend here last November in 2012 with my partner (first time to the Lake District) stayed in Riverbank Cottage,i can honestly say one of the best weekends i have had!! so thank you Kevin & Margaret, it was just stunning,Cottage, location, everything, actually all of the cottages were, thanks to Kevin who showed us around all of them. Riverbank Cottage is in an idyllic part of the Lake District away from crowds and is very nicely furnished with all mod cons and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a wonderful week. The owners show a huge trust in their guests.
